I dedicate to my friends of the far off age
When all war will cease and only passion will rage
A timeless capsule carrying the antiquated
The ever scurried capture of all things fated

The stars now let loose the light shined for their eyes
May they still hear the lingering of our lover’s sighs
Will they eat, will they drink, and buried in their bones
Will they still cry the vast sadness of feeling alone

They journey to the stars and pen the earthshine wonder
Will the green meet the gloom of the moon torn asunder
The dismal disease wafts into the atmosphere
Will love in the air thus be something to fear

When you my far off friends of new generations
Walk the sandy beaches of undivided nations
Think not of me, but your friends of the far off age
When all war will cease and only passion will rage

to think that timelessness is held
within these walls
forever to lift, forever to enthrall
such is poetry

curtseying to you, Sir!

Exceptional Walt, in all venues ... wonderfully worded in language, beautiful futuristic imagery, and such a powerful message ... really enjoyed this treasure Walt, nicely done!

Best wishes,

Seems like you have an amazing talent, and there's a lot of poetic energy in you waiting to be released. Imagine what the quality of your poetry will be like in a few years.

Rock on.

Walt, you certainly know how to spin a tale. You know, it has a rather mystical quality, this piece. And speaking of quality, you've written this with an eloquence befitting any star bard that I can think of. How very fascinating, this concept and the way your words beckon to those in our far away time, penning "earthshine wonder." I really enjoyed this journey, thank you ~

Good show Walt!! Refreshing to read a poem that speaks of the future in a positive way instead of in such a foreboding manner as many would tend to describe it.....like it!! Yeah!...................ethome

Walt, I really dig the sentiments expressed in this one. However, I fear I shan't be partaking of a time capsule, either for myself or others for one small reason: I can never remember where I buried the blased thing.
