Gallery Reading Room

This piece is dedicated to all the Women of Passions

she wonders if she will ever shine again
the clouds have been here for a long time now
blocking her way
    making her light seem dim
and her heart seems to die

she has shone all of her life
from the beginning, she gave her light to all
but there was one that deemed that he alone
would be the keeper of that light
and so, he tried to hide it from the world
that he might light his own dark life

but the power of her light was too much
for him to contain, and she again
reached out to a world that needed to see her
    reached out with her hands
        reached out with her heart
            reached out with her soul
until the clouds came

he sent the clouds to hide her
for he thought that if he could not have her
no one would. . . and he has succeeded
. . . almost. . .

for there is still that break in the clouds
that she will pass through
such is her power
    such is her life
        such is her light
            such is her love
she can be contained by no one
man or beast
    sorcerer or wizard
        seer or philosopher
she will speak to a darkened world
and they will welcome her with
open hearts
    open arms
        open minds
they will sing her praises until the end of this world
and to the coming of the next

for that is her power
    that is her life
        that is her heart
            that is her soul

we are who she is
she is who we are

she exists
source of power
source of life
source of light
source of love

she will shine forever
even though her heart wallows in tears
and her soul begs for release. . .
we will see her
she will know us

for she is worthy of our love
just as we are worthy of her love

and she will always be

she is life
    she is light
        she is power

she is love. . .

Sven, I clicked that enter button on my keyboard anticipating one of your elegant poems to read to get my mind off many a things...

And what does this innocent reader behold in front of her eyes but sheer eloquence in writing that leaves me with sighs...

Thank you for sharing the beauty of your heart from which your pen scribes the poetic words of rhyme...

Sven, such a wonder of words that all of Passions women may enjoy...for they are the center of any man's universe, a light unto themselves, a joy and mystery to behold...

you, Sir, have done well by them...

and the romance has returned...

Sven, your words have the power of making one feel as though they have somehow managed
to find someone who can see past the outer layers into the very soul of women...women who can be proud to call this gentle romantic poet....friend.  Thank you for looking inside......

What a gentleman you are Sven. Only one with that special touch can write as you do.
I've only been here a short while, but I've come to depend on you to write with the heart of one of Gods Angels.

Sven, I don't know you, but have read and enjoyed some of your work.  I'm sitting here trying to think of a superlative for this one that isn't trite and overdone. How about supercalifragilisticexpialidocious?  Thank you for this wonderful tribute to all of the women of Passions.

Sven, this is my first visit in too long. And what do I read first? Tough choice. I did a search for new Passions Gallery poems and find this beautiful piece. Thank you, it is wonderful to see put into such eloquent words what so often I have thought.
A beautiful read.

Sven,

This is an elegantly dressed, lovely piece of writing...and it is so kind of you (and smart)   to address it to the women of Passions. Thoroughly enjoyed this dedication.

Sven,
This is a wonderful tribute to the women of Passions and it makes me feel proud to be one of them!
How can a man know what a woman feels?
Somehow you can, and you express it in a very lovely way.
Thank-you.
