Although I haven't known you long I could list a million things I love about you,
You're soft blue eyes,
The way you feel when I wrap you in my arms,
You're smile-
Which is so huge it seems to take up your entire face,
The little grunts you give when you're frustrated,
Oh! I could go on forever about the little things that I love about you,
None of them could make you realize just how much I love you,
You see I've loved you since before you were even born,
I'd lift my shirt to peer at my stomache while you kicked and my heart would do flip-flops,
I remember watching the screen during my ultrasound,
I counted your fingers and toes!
I know you won't always be little,
But my sweet dear,
You will always be my little girl!

This poem is to my 6 1/2 week old daughter Destiny Marie!!! =0)

.... Lillian ....
This is such a beautiful tribute to your brand new daughter, and I am so happy to be the first to reply. It brings tears to my eyes to feel your joy, and I thank you for that, my friend. God bless you, and may you always share happiness with your daughter!

Thank-you sunny1 I appreciate you sharing your feelings! It's so nice to know that other people can understand emotions that are so difficult to express with mere words!

There's nothing like it, is there?? That little piece of you that you've given to the world... that you've given life... and you've expressed those feelings beautifully... Very nice, Lillian...

Nan,
No there is nothing else that can even come close to it! =0) It's being in love but in a whole other way than what is normally thought when you say "I'm in love," and it's the most amazing thing in the world =0)
Thanx for your reply!

Aww that is so beautiful! I so know that feeling! It's something you can never forget but yet something you can hold onto for a lifetime. You expressed it well! I look at it this way...if it weren't for labor ( mine were awful ) I'd have 50 children just to see their little faces and to have that time together. Thanks for the poem

Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak
I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps
