The Last Magi Moon

A wet grey mist clings damp and bold
Layering my face in somber cold
Masking my look to bleak malaise
Hardening my stare to a fixed gaze.

Clouds have pulled a curtain to stay
Settling the light to sullen grey
With shrouds of fog to bar the true
Altering my sight to vaguer view.

Sending me to nebulous sail
Through a haze of blurry derail
A numb place of doubts and dark
Without a spark or guiding mark.

She does not call and she does she write
This butterfly of my aging night
She is locked in goodbye's hard cocoon
Waiting new lullaby of the moon.

By that I mean the Magi's moon
To listen for another tune.

Seymour you are without a doubt apoet's poet.
"Sending me to nebulous sail

I got to say I love that.. wish I'd written it myself...let her listen for another lullaby under the three wise men's moon ...you can just stay here and write brother!!!

have a nice day....ethome

This shall haunt my soul for time to come...

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

I'll sing for you a lullaby  ... lyrics written of butterfly
I'll pen for you poetic butterfly verse ... grant release from doubting's curse
I'll light for you candles spark ... to guide beautiful butterfly back from the dark
I'll say a wish upon that flame ... for butterfly to whisper softly out your name

Search the sky for phasing moon ... witness butterfly taking flight from cocoon
know then you've witnessed destiny ... by gift of fate and poetry ...
poets and butterflies are meant to be free.
