I endeavor to persuade you,
That love has many splendors hidden,
Take the heart it stays right within the skin,
constantly beckoning from within,
Take the eyes though you can see,
You may not see the ache within,
Love is a many splendid thing,
It makes us smile when all around,
There seems hate and discontent,
Love makes the baby coo,
And lovers sing in the pouring rain,
Such joy and peace held in each others arms,
Lovers hold hands and cannot tame the love
that strives to seek the neverending plain
of time,
Love doesn't last for just a day,
It offers no money for it's stay,
Love is simple,
Love is kind,
Love is what makes us all
want to know the many ingredients
that must be blended with special care,
Love is not something faked,
Or apprehended love is simply,
Sweet and everlasting surrender
Into him ,into her,
Spun into the finest riches

Thank you so much Vas, I do believe that love still exist.
Nakdthoughts, I find that often love is something that has so much meaning it hard to define, that why there is such a wide selection of love poems, often love is beheld in the eye of the beholder.
