"He"

He is the imprint in sycamore tree
The palm turned toward fevered brow
He is the oak and the olive in me
The tracing a kiss will allow

He is the faith of a seed being sown
The fragrant deep ruts in damp earth
He is the warmth of a fire fully grown
The awareness in moments of mirth

He is the season aflaming with glow
The crimson of sunset's surprise
He is the taste of a sweet honey dough
The taming of indigo eyes

He is the rolling of ages to tide
The stone cradled smooth in the hand
He is the sage in whom angels confide
The mineshaft of silvering strand

He is the path winding into the wood
The answer to what lies beyond
He is the kindness and grace and the good
The soul to whom soulless respond

He is the riverbed bearing the rush
The canyon of life's living sea
He is the echo of comfort and hush
The voice of who man used to be

There are so many great lines in this poem I can't begin to list them.

"He is the faith of a seed being sown"

That's my favorite..maybe. Gee, it's hard to pick one! This is awesome, rainydays...truly.

Walt, thank you. I enjoyed spinning it.

Balladeer, thanks for sharing your thoughts with me, and for reading.

Tony's lovely "She" was such wonderful inspiration.

I know that I have said it before but now I am saying it again.  "I HAVE A NEW FAVORITE OF YOURS".  This is filled with the beauty of a pure and honest love and I know that he is holding you in heaven as you hold him here on earth.  Very moving poem from you.
