 ~ Now I Will Dance ~ So many nights I’ve stood in the rain Drowning in sorrows, consumed by the pain I’ve carried the shame of sins that weren’t mine To afraid to reach out and grasp onto hope’s vine Years passed me by while I hid in the past Times of happiness or pleasure never seemed to last I deprived myself of the peace I longed to find And slowly the ache began to feed on my mind I never felt whole, or thought I could break free Crying out in vain to the emptiness that surrounded me Then through the darkness I felt the touch of your hand Reaching out to steady me, offering encouragement to stand Giving me strength to reach up and scale my inner wall Clearing the path so I could walk and not stumble or crawl Leading me by example to the forgiveness of God’s Holy way When the journey is difficult you kneel beside me and pray Without you by my side I’d never have taken this chance And as you play the music of your heart....I will dare to dance |

A snow storm is playing havoc with my server so I'm going to try to get a BIG BIG thank you out before I'm kicked off line again You are all so very special to me...I'm going to share a little known fact about me...EVERYTIME I post a poem, I post it then shut my computer down and I do something to keep really busy...A couple hours later I come back and read in Passions dreading the moment I click on my own poem...why? because I'm sure that someone will say..."what do you think you are doing...TRYING to be a poet???? you've got to be kidding me"...and instead there are all of you...with nothing but praise and kindness...now either you really don't want to see me cry so your just being nice or what I share with you is ok. Either way...I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Love to Each of you...for all you give me every day~ **Angel Wing Hugs and Butterfly Kisses** You cannot dance in the sun until you have cried in the rain~ |

Congratulations on 3000 times of sharing with us! I'm glad I just found out your name is Holly! It's beautiful. Let me tell you something about poets. Just recently I received an e-mail from a "poet" In that e-mail, I was called a "mediocre" talent and had no substance, nothing but fluff and whimsical romantic notions. It hurt my feelings, sure, I never claim to be a classic, published poet and frankly, that's not why I write poetry. Like you, I believe we write it because it may reach someone and we heal a little, feel a little happiness and I'd rather have that. Never be ashamed of posting anything. If someone has a heart, a little respect and they don't like it, they should remain silent. No one has the right to slap a person in the face for showing their soul in verse. Passions has a critique forum, and even there, the people are honest, respectful, I'd rather have Passions for all of this, they give us room to breathe, room to learn and room to be treated like, not only poets, but human beings! Well, congratulations on your 3000!!!!!! You have brought it in with a marking of your heart and all the golden glory it encases. So nice to see that the real Holly is being seen by so many now-a-days and that you are finally finding your way in life as it was intended.
