On Such A Night As This

Evening slowly fades into dark night and the stars come out to shine
Each star sparkles light turning the night into something so very fine
A night for lovers everywhere a night in which to sit and quietly share
Such a night beguiles me and love seems not only true but also fair
Starlight is such a magical mystical sight, clothes love in softest light
With the moon casting her silver gleam this becomes the magic night

A night when Love comes dancing through the lovers special dreams
When Love herself will show lovers all her plans and strange schemes
Such a night as this Romeo found his Juliet waiting for his tender kiss
On such a night Love herself knows that true lovers will seldom miss
The air itself seems to breathe in a hushed and whispered loves song
Love knows that those without her heart won't have to wait very long

These nights that Love calls her own are far between and so very few
Nights that caress the soul and paints the heart with loves rainbow hue
The stars that shine on these nights are seen to cast an enchanted glow
Which weaves it's way making hearts feel Loves plans for their show
Touches feel so special and hold a magic feel on such a night like this
And when lips meet there is such wonder and delight in this nights kiss

Marsha, I must agree with E-babes...
this is one of your best...
the imagery and rhyme are wonderful
the whole poems conception is well written out and defined ...

"These nights that Love calls her own are far between and so very few
Nights that caress the soul and paints the heart with loves rainbow hue
The stars that shine on these nights are seen to cast an enchanted glow
Which weaves it's way making hearts feel Loves plans for their show
Touches feel so special and hold a magic feel on such a night like this
And when lips meet there is such wonder and delight in this nights kiss"

enchanting and graceful...
just beautiful
take care

Ethome, hi you again, my visits today have been a kind of hit and run affair. Not because I don't want to spend my time here, but I've had stuff that I really couldn't leave any longer. Well I could but the team will want some pay, admittedly it's not a fortune, but we will still need it. So since this is now my time, I can soothe my soul. Thanks for the compliments, and I'm pleased you like it. (So the poetry fairy is obviously helping me out then. In that case I'll get the go faster stripes for her wings.)
Take care

Janet Marie, you do? I'm sure I don't deserve the praise, I don't even think it took that long. I know I shouldn't measure worth by effort, but I must admit I do. Anyway thank you, I do appreciate it, I really sincerely do.
Take care
