I musta thrown,
A million Rocks,
When I was young
I had more time
Than I needed
So I threw it away

The spinning flat stone
Is a moment thrown
The distance tossed
Is a moment lost
Toerag alone
Is good at stones

The title pulled me right in and I was not disappointed!  Yet, there seems to be some remorse about the time spent.  It's cliche, but time to smell the roses and time to skip rocks is surely all important.  Isn't it 'soul-healing' time?  Heart-mending time?

I do so love this poem.  It says volumes in so few words.  Yes we must 'seize the day' but we dare not let the day seize us, do we?

Goodness, I love this poem.  May I make a copy for my favorites file?

Ya throwin' rocks at me now? LOL. That won't give you any relief, ya know... I've got a very hard head! LOL

G'morning, sweet cheeks... I love this!!!

You think the Ramada might need some business? *S* Lemme know if you'll have any free minutes... 'kay? Otherwise, I'll try to sweet talk my dinosaur into cooperating... for having you around is reason to give thanks! *G*

There's a wonderully deep message to this one, smooth and not eroded, I liked this one very much!

Good to see ya Toe!
Time wasted when we're young, becomes so precious as we get older. What a statement you've made here Toe.

This is so true. Hugs to ya buddy.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Toerag - it's so good to see you back!  I sense a bit of sadness too - this is different from your jovial ways - but I really like it!  Speaks of memories.  Speaks of time.  The title drew me in, too!

Toe,
skipping stones or killing time
this here work, is just sublime
it's not like you to hold back a smile
but I really like this style
it's soft and gentle, sweet, sincere
is that because Long John's not here?
just you wait till he comes back
he'll put back spark with a great whack
but until he's back to stay
just keep writing thissaway
write on

Ya know, Toe.. I could never get that stone-skipping thing right... I guess I was too busy doing other stuff... but I can't recall for the life of me what it was...

Amazing that we turn around and suddenly see that we have so many thrown rocks behind us and so few in front of us. Take each day as it comes with a sense of humor as you usually do, pick up that stone and toss it!!
