Listening to every heart

0 posted 2000-11-19 08:09 AM

May I slip in?
just to read?
may I sigh
quietly
at this compassion
you call
poetry?
may I slip in?
just to feel?
hear the heartstring
song
so real…

may I slip out?
so silently
and take my
tears away
you see
for you have
touched the heart
of me
when I silently
slipped in
to read

you.

a day can come
so quietly
a dream

and your words may
come so
serene

bringing music
to wind my soul

was that
your goal?

you did it,
just so.

may I slip back in
into your embrace?
and softly now
and with grace
may I lay finger
to your face
to trace
a lip,
a brow
for you have touched
me vast
somehow

and then
I shall slip away
and take with me
all you say
and keep it here…
privately…

just your words
embracing me.

and when next
I slip in to read
know please sir
that I am smiling
most pleasantly

when I rest
my eyes on
you.

Karilea
If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Good morning Sunshine!

The flow of this is outstanding.....a gentle swirling and dancing of quiet thoughts flying free.   I salute you with my coffee cup!

You slip in to read anytime you want to sweetheart!!   I love how you carried the theme all the way through this one with such expressions of respect for the gifts that we all share......ethome.

Very thought proving piece. Raised a lot of questions, I hope you get a answer. As far as I am concerned.....you can slip in anytime. Truely enjoyed the read.

Karilea-
I 'felt' this - as truly as if you really had slipped in and touched my cheek - may I say it touched me deeply - and I pray you do it - again and again

Sunshine, I'm sure if I look up "class" in the dictionary your picture will be there. What style you put into this piece! You create very pleasant smiles yourself...
May you slip in....? Oh, yes, please...any time. Poems love the touch of your eyes....

I think the question would be one of a mute point.  You have penned perfection in this one my friend and the whole tone takes my mind a wandering to beauty and love that one can only dream of.....but dreams can become real with enough heart poured into it.  Going in my library for sure.

The library is closed...due to reconstruction of the heart...so glad this took you on a pleasant wander...it still likes me, too...thank you Mark...

I think this says what I was trying to tell
you earlier...your words weave it much
better than I ever could...there are just
not enough thank-you's to tell you what it
means~

Kari, this is still one of my favourites of yours, okay it's true that all yours are my favourites, but this really is utterly divine. I think it's because I have this vision of you sitting with me in the gazebo, drinking tea and watching the sunset over the orchards. (Admittedly there are only three rose bushes left in the garden, the other nine having given up the ghost and pegged out. I think I over prunned them or something)   But the view out there is nice anyway.
I really love this one
Take care kid
