this is for my buddy tricks     our friendship has weathered much!  ...now, if only we could get back around..the laughter's just not the same via internet and phn....

such dreams were when
we were young
when laughter erupted into
tears
and tears melted into laughter

such moments were when
we were bold
when our eyes could tell a story
and our secrets were hard
to keep

such time was when
we took pictures
our memories still had color
and color bled into our lives

such pictures were when
we had purpose
everything was important
and we'd give our last dollar
to be there...

to be there...
sitting amongst the nowhere
hoping to regain a somewhere--
thinking,
if only we could get there...

DG* This is excellent!! and the lines above
were perfection!! A tale of friendship and
the roads that we travel...hand in hand
makes the journey so much easier!
One question...who's who in the photo?

It is nice to see how true and lasting a friendship can be.  You two are a great example.  And yes, I do like the pic.

What a wonderful tribute to your friendship DG. I'm amazed at the long-lost friends I can now catch up with so easily because of the computer. Friendships that may have withered, yet now flourish instead. Beautiful poem, much enjoyed the thoughts it brought to mind!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Like old shoes, friendships grow more and more comfortable with age and we never want to let them go, nor should we.   Great tribute to one of life's great joys.
