The truth of me

Each day I walk illusions path
Rafted by the aftermath.
Days when demons haggle me
Others, splendid greenery.

Motion set by will-o-the-wisp
Range from soft to crispy crisp.
All lead down the garden path
Purest love or purest wrath.

In shadows of the moon or sun
Awake or asleep they run.
Engines of my common wile
Make me sad and make me smile.

They seed my mind where e'er I go
They bear the fruit that I grow.
They fill the empty of my time
They pull the rope that chimes my chime.

And when the cock crows in the barn
It wakes the emperor Genghis khan.

Genghis??? ....I was thinking more along the lines of Poe, Shakes, Keats, Shelley, Byron...
take your pick...but that crow wakes up an emperor of poetry.
thats all I know ...

I've been reading your work for quite some time now and wanted to tell you how much I like the way you weave.
