I heard a robin sing today
I listened to his song
He seems to have a special word
He wants to pass along
He sings of new beginnings
Of life that starts again
He's telling me that love exists
And there are special friends
Friends that love you as you are
And who are always there
Who always have the time for you
And let you know they care
I listened to the robin's song
I knew his words were true
Life began anew for me
The day that I met you

pepper,
I am late and I'm sorry
I was coming, when struck by a lorry
Then, oh darn my 'puter froze
would not reply to your prose
I tried on time to get here
wanted to send best wishes of cheer
but wouldn't you know I lost your poem
my bad luck just kept on goin'
so I tried to send a card
it should not have been very hard
But guess what? the mail's on strike
Tried to send it by private bike
no luck at all and to my shame
the posting passes in my timeframe
I'm here at last, hooray for you
love your poetry, more, a million or two.

CONGRATULATIONS
