Mark, In Praise Of A Poet

(Written by the MBOOPAS)

M iraculously it seems
B ecause the idea is of course silly
O utrageous although the idea is
O therwise why?
A nd they say why not?
S o this is their tribute

M ark our official office poet we adore
A s a mark of our deep and constant awe
R eally this is only a tribute to you
K indly accept this as our admiration true

C hances are you will know how we feel
H ow we consume your poems with an avid zeal
R ating you far above our meagre rewards
I t's your poems that travel around the wards
S incerely we think your poems are ace
T ruth is mixed and entangled with grace
O nce a week is never enough for us all
P erhaps we should make you our first port of call
H appen we could make Marsha read us more
E xcept that she says her throat is now sore
R eligiously we need our weekly fix

B ecause you certainly have the right mix
O ften we will take a poem home for the night
H ave to keep our partners smiling and bright
A gain we raise a resounding cheer
N ice that you go so well with our beer
N ever fail to give us a wonderful read
A nyway the beauty plants the seed
N ot a lot for us all to say

Except Mark please don't ever go away

Marsha~
This is such a delightful poem ...
when our Cowboy gets home he'll be just
tickled to see it !

And then he'll drop one of those sensual *sighs* on us ...
that will melt our hearts and other relevant parts ! !

Tell the MBOOPAS to keep on swooning !

Marsha--This is wonderful....he will be the one to swoon when he reads it...does he know he holds so many hearts in his hand, I wonder.

Marsha and MBOOPAS ...
I have just read this over the phone to Mark
(he still getting settled in from his move and has been out of town, it will be a few more days before he has access and time on the computer)
so he asked me to once again type his words to you--for him...

To Marsha, Daphine, Kelsy, Pat, Fran, Sue,
Jan, Delia, David, and Mel ...
Thank you so very much for this gift. I am very touched and honored. I appreciate your ever faithful replies of praise and compliments of my work.
I will write you all a poem once I can get back on the computer on a regular basis.
I already have one started ...
I promise to make it worth your wait, and thank you for your patience.
Thank you again so much for this very kind gesture.
Big Hugs to you all.
Mark

==================
you guys did a great job on this acrostic and I know once Mark gets to actually see it he will be even more surprised and pleased.
take care

Marsha-
  this is so sweet!
i know this means so much to Mark.
we all miss him very much...the
blue pages just aren't the same
  without him.

and, oh yes, Marge...those cowboy sighs...
they do have melting power don't they.

Marsha, both you AND the gallery of gals will leave the cowboy shucking with blush...and bravado...

it takes all kinds to make these Passionate walls sing...and when any of us are gone...they are missed...

so Marsha, you and the MBOOPAS keep on writing...for you've done a wonderful job here...and we need all of you joining in...

you may rightfully retain the keys to the crown of the MBOOPAS...

Marge, this really was a team effort, the MBOOPAS all wrote this together. We did it in a barnstorming session, and since there has to be at least one person on duty, we were at work. It meant that everyone had a chance to contribute. Which was important because we all miss our Official Poet. Thank you for your nice reply, I know they all appreciate it.

Martie, I think he knows that the MBOOPAS are all fans, and friends too. The idea for this tribute came up on Wednesday, and we had the barnstorming session on Thursday. All I had to do was tidy it up a bit, run it pass the group and then post it. I'm glad you like it, they all worked hard. (A lot harder than they ever work for me!)
Thank you, your replies do mean a lot to them.

Janet Marie, thank you very much from them all. The acrostic was Daphnies' idea, and she and Sue, spent the next hour trying to convince me they were actually working and not trying to write one by themselves. I know that all of us here did enjoy doing this, but it was very hard work for us. Thank you for reading this to Mark, and thank him for his very wonderful reply. We all agree that his poems are amazing, and it is a delight to have his work in our office.
We are all looking forward eagerly to hearing from him after he's finished settling in. Many thanks to you for typing his replies, and we're glad you like this too.

Vicky, it's true, when someone is missing from these pages we do miss them. And certaily Mark makes us all SIGH, and particularly Daphnie and Sue. Who spend all their time squabbling over whom likes the poems more. (What will I do with them, murder them probably)

Kari, they are all pleased as punch, that this little effort of theirs has pleased you all. They all agree that this was fun but I really can't see them doing this on a weekly basis. Thanks for reading this, they are truly grateful.

Pepper, thank you, from all the team thank you.

Now maybe I can get a scrap of work out of them.
Take care

Ethome, thank you, they will all be as tickled pink, that this has had such a nice reaction. The MBOOPAS, to a member are so amazed that this was the result of a joint effort. (I'm always telling them that as a team it's far more fun) God I sound like my old Games Mistress, oh my does that mean I'm turning into one of my older sisters. (Oh help) They all tottered off to the pub now, and there's only me here, so I'll show them all on Monday.
Thanks again from them and me
Take care

I'm taking my life in my hands here, but I have agreed to the MBOOPAS, typing in their own replies and I have promised to let them have their say. I only hope that they behave themselves.
Take care

Hi you all, she's taken the chains off and allowed us to say thank you to you all. We are all so amazed and pleasantly surprised. We never really thought that this would get any replies. It was just a gift in praise of our poet, and to thank him for giving us such a lift in this office. (Now if only Marsha wouldn't keep us all on a tight reign we could really have a ball.) Anyway a huge thanks for you all. And we all hope Mark likes it. Oh and we hope he's back soon
Sue, Daphnie, Kelsy Jan Mel Pat Fran and David.

And of course me too. And I've promised not to touch their comments.
Take care

Mark my friend, all the MBOOPAS, send you hugs back. Daphnie and Sue and squabbling as is usual over who gets to hug you first. And if they don't stop it they can wait at the back of a very long queue. Not that there is very much work going on in this office today because they keep swooning over your poem. I'm sure that if Daphnie has sighed delightedly once she has done so a thousand times. I almost asked her if she was having trouble breathing but I didn't want to be thumped. Anyway they are very glad you like it so much, and I'm really pleased too.
Take care

Oh and Daphy and Sue are sending you kisses too. (They will truly be the death of me, I swear)
