My Muse Was On Vacation

My muse was on vacation
He didn’t tell me that he’d gone
I went to write some poetry
Couldn’t come up with even one

I started thinking, hey! What’s this?
This is just ridiculous
My hunger to write was always there
But my writing was insidious

No matter what I thought
The words just laughed at me
Then I searched and found my muse
Living out his fantasy

Sitting on a beach
Sipping on a glass of wine
I asked him why he left
And why he left me with no rhyme

I got tired is what he said
Needed a break from you
You’re poems are like a roller coaster
What was I suppose to do

But don’t you worry yourself my dear
I’m ready to come back
Your writing is atrocious
I have to put you back on track

So once again I look to him
In rhyme I open part of me
The love, the tears and some just fun
My thoughts, my words, my poetry

Absolutely delightful!!!!  Of course, there are many that think poetry shouldn't rhyme anymore, but I truly enjoyed the consistent rhythm and rhyme of this piece.  I absolutely must post my "I Live on Writer's Block."

It's forever pesky when the Muse doesn't consider asking us for time off and arranges its own calendar, hey?...

Fun!

Oh that naughty naughty muse
Leaving you with no inspiration
I will be your muse
While the other is on vacation

And if perchance you like me
More than the other one
Then my Kat you can have me
And we'll have loads of fun!

lol

Another lovely one Kat...

Amy:  Yeah! Come to think of it. That was rude wasn't it? Well I think it's time for a different muse then.   Glad you liked it thanks!

VAS: I agree! Not all poems need to have a rhyme and to tell you the truth, that's something I'm working on. There's alot that don't rhyme and I love them. By the way, I'm glad you posted your "I Live on Writer's Block" poem. I loved it! Thanks for your reply!

Marge: Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Sunshine:  Yes it is! I mean one day I'm writing poems the next, I can't even put a sentence together. LOL Thanks for your reply.

Dakota:
You can be my muse
I've tossed my other muse aside
         We can take vacation together
and I'll let you be my guide

As per chance I like you?
         Well here's a hint
         I hope that answer's you

So can I have you my sweet muse?
You can be the light that shines my poetry
The one I'll always choose

Oops! My muse just read what I wrote and walked out!
Dakota! I need help! Now! I ran out of things to say! Why don't you come over and give me some inspiration. LOL

Thanks Dakota! That was sweet and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
