Mirror Reflection

Just lately when into the mirror I glance
I've noticed something there quite by chance
There's someone else looking back I see
Someone I don't know pretending to be me
She has the same face and the same hair
But she doesn't look like she belongs in there

Her eyes, so like mine, but not mine at all
Look like they hear a lovers tender call
Her mouth, which usually smiles all day
Seems about to ask me to just go far away
I see her in a glimpse not for very long
It's almost as if she were sighing a sirens song

I've seen her looking a little sad and blue
I wonder if she's thinking of her love for you
Should I tell her that you will return soon
Or leave her wishing on the silver moon
Yearning for your beloved face to appear
Waiting for your flames her heart to sear

Perhaps it's for the best if I leave her alone
She won't get excited then by the telephone
I'll be waiting for your divine kiss
And tell you that it's you I really do miss
I'll leave her to her mirrors refection
And I'll take your heart, your soul direction

Pepper, you are so kind, I know I'm at work too, and it's 8 pm here. Won't be home for hours but if I don't have this as well as work, I'd throw myself out of the window. And I'd never get a bed they'd say it was self inflicted. (They don't let us lie down on the job if they can possibly help it.)
Glad you like it and thank you

Kathleen, the mirror never lies, pleased you liked it. And Thank you, it is appreciated
it truly is.

Circe, and I hope he's back very soon too, I'm missing him so much I can barely concentrate on anything. I'm glad you like it love. It's about those times we try to keep our feelings out of the day to day stuff. And I don't actually think I'm succeeding very well.

Where in the heck did he take off to? Doesn't he know it's time to come back!?

Kari, he's a man love, one of those cases when I have to be patient, which I am lousy at. It's not in my nature I suppose, doesn't help that my puter crashed and I haven't even got his words to comfort me. (Oh I'm a sad case) Still things will be what they will be, and I shall just have to live in the shadowlands until he comes back.

Well, Marsha, truth be told...I am at work when I'm home....but I can't figure out how to be online and connected to the hospital dictation line all at the same time  sigh

Had to read it again

Pepper, yes isn't it always the way, work just gets in the way of reading enjoyment. Now if only I could win the lottery I wouldn't haqve to work at all. Thanks for coming back, you know I appreciate it.

Mushy, yearning brings out the best in you (poetically speaking) and you can look forward to all the slushy work you can write... two weeks after he gets back.

Kethry, thank you love, it's true though and there's me thinking that heat brings out the best in me. Ahhh well no one can rush these things I suppose, and maybe I need a few lessons in patience. So I'll be thankful for the lesson and try not to sigh too often.
