Of a three day vacation
from blessed pain that follows
me in a time of sorrow
and no regrets.
What the road shows me
I shall not know
for time is a regression
of small pleasures done.
I hate the agony of work
that gemtle pressure
that makes one want
to scream in blissful lust.
Sucking out my reserved strength
from the last visit to heaven
I find it a special brand
horror to a body already doomed.
So simple the act of
turning the ignition key
in those desperate places
we find ourselves.
How we often forget our hearts
the way the soul cries
the slightest touch of skin
the extasy of fallen hair.
Could not then this be my reasoning
to a world of dreams
that fall not within a catergory
yet make their own system work.
And could not the road I take
be my own answers that I have searched
within mind and body
yet have agreed to nothing,
but my hearts content.

Michael,
I'm glad that in the end your heart's content. It sounded like a painful write.
Be well

There is nothing a nice long ride on a bike won't cure.  We do our best thinking in strangest places and in our own company.
