Peaceful roaming,
Takes on a more urgent grasp,
While my cares and worries,
Drift out the window,
Of a self created cage.
I don't care.
Can't you see,
About your angst,
And your inabilities.
Your losses,
And your hardships.
Tonight,
I'd rather read,
And feel what I wanted,
Instead of what,
I'm being brained with.
Lets just talk about,
My muse for once.
Hit by a barrage of messages,
About lonely strangers,
Seeking unreachable answers.
Well, tonight,
Don't look here for them.
I'm not sitting here,
Waiting for you to wine.
I'm sitting here waiting,
For your words,
To rub my shoulders,
And paint my inspirations.
Do you ever feel used?
I certainly do.
When this isn't poetry,
What do we call it?
Where are the boundaries?
Love and lust,
Friendship and pain.
Tonight was too full of slammed doors,
And geesh..
I didn't want to talk to them anyway.
So is it sour grapes?
Maybe,
But hey..
Its my defense.
Deal with it.
Tomorrow you'll love me,
And accept me as the friend I am,
Because thats what friends do.
Tonight you'll tell me,
I have an attitude,
And tomorrow you'll forgive me for it.
Tonight I'll keep my attitude,
And tomorrow I'll apologize for it.
Sooo..
Right now,
Why don't you just back off?
As for everyone else.
Slammed doors hurt my face,
So shut yourself in as you must,
But I'll be here waiting as usual,
Like an obedient doormat,
When you finally feel,
I'm good enough to pay attention to.
Tonight, I'm facing reality,
And tomorrow, I'll understand.
Its a never ending process,
That we all go through.
Love me anyway.
Dare you?

I don't know if I was feeling depth, but I'm glad you found it there.   Makes me feel like it wasn't a poem in vain! LOL! I hope when you've read that I remembered to say thank you. If not, then THANK YOU!
