There’s a road That will take you Clear across town, But it’s not the main road, As you may think. It starts as An innocent pathway You might even consider A dead end, But bursts into the unknown As it gains more of your trust. With each passing mile, The control over your senses Is taken; Your will to resist Is deteriorated. The sights are amazing, however. It’s strange How you thought you knew Every part of town. This has come As quite a surprise To someone Who has lived his entire life Here. I won't go, I won't sleep, I can't breathe until you're resting here with me... |

This could be as simple as a hidden road, never taken in a real town, or a metaphorical road of life, either way, it holds the same point, and it's a great one! Enjoyed the read With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free.. dragonpoe |
