A Country Christmas

Fields like glistenin' diamonds
Are blanketed in snow
Gold n' silver packages
All tied up with a bow

Trees are set in houses
The family gathers round
Steaming mugs of chocolate
The tree top now is crowned

Streets of busy people
In windows stop to stare
Snow shows off its color
From festive lights hung there

Carolers are singing
A Savior's melody
Hooves of horse with buggy
Complete the symphony

Graceful are the skaters
Who dance on frozen pond
And stir the feathered snow
When blade and ice do bond

It's a Country Christmas
The town folk all are cheered
'Cause on this magic night
A miracle appeared

Well structured poem, tight rhyme scheme, mixed with the seasoning of spirit from the heart...turned this little gem into a song!!

It's so cheery, wintry and Christmasy, I can almost hear sleigh bells ringing and feel Jack Frost stinging my nose.  Best of all,I love the ending.."Cause on this magic night a miracle appeared."  Beautiful!
