Faun  ( My Youngest Daughter )

This Eros child of impart.
Stole my heart from the very start
A little larger then my glove
A six pound dark haired ball of love.

Pretty as a faun sent to earth
Born a miracle of birth.
A pleasure for my lips to touch
An armful for my arms to clutch.

A living toy a thing of joy
A vital doll of coo and coy.
She ruled me with a bright of eye
That lift my spirits to the sky.

And soon became my moon and stars
A cup-board full of candy bars.
A smile that brought my heart to still
A coo much like a whippoorwill.

And to this day of years away
I still melt when she looks my way.

Oh, PapaPoet~
What tenderness in this kiss for Faun.
The light in a dad's eyes shines brightest
when remembering ...

This is so touching, Seymour.

A most lovely rendering of a father's heart...

Karilea
If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.
