If you practice seeing individual worth
It could stretch your arm, help you sing
And throw your arms around the earth

And give to patience renewed birth
See beauty in flowers of the fragrant spring
If you practice seeing individual worth

To reach in with resounding mirth
Can ease great pain and suffering
And throw your arms around the earth

To give comfort in the narrow berth
And shelter all beneath your wing
If you practice seeing individual worth

To straddle the world and all its girth
To uphold love though everything
And throw your arms around the earth

To offer hope when there's a dearth
And misery wraps in silken sting
If you practice seeing individual worth
And throw your arms around the earth

Kethry, can you hear both the loud, and the silent, applause?

Well done!  Very well done!

this was a good style but I kept wanting to do an imaginary fourth line, to make it fit my style.

Hi, Kethry....I'm Nan's assistant! Your villanelle form and style is on the money. You followed the guidelines perfectly. No, just convince this old schoolteacher that sing and glowing rhyme, and you'll pass

Balladeer,
substitute teachers, bah who needs em. I spend all my time sucking up to Nan and you come along to take the class. I would say GroWING rhymes very well with sing, but that may depend on the part of the country you come from, since you're new I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and change it. There happy now!
