Eternal Light

I stand outside
The slight breeze
Carrying a chill
And I realize that you are gone
Memories wash over me
Touching my heart
That cries at my loss
Of such a tender soul
The times we laughed
The times we cried
The times we just were
As I watch the sunset
I suddenly understand
That you aren’t gone
Like the sun, you will be back
Surrounding me in love
And your eternal light
Your hand holding mine
From beyond where my
Searching eyes can see.

Janet - Thank you for taking time to stop in.  I'm glad you liked it. The ones we love never actually leave.  They are always with us.. in our hearts and memories and that keeps them very much alive.

Nice allegory going on here.  It's unfortunate the sun will eventually blow up.  Good thing it ain't gonna happen anytime soon, eh? *Grin*
