WITHOUT WINGS

There upon the shores of land
Flutter souls adorned in violet crowns
Attempting to flee their feathers tease
Fearing their journey is not one of this eve
These souls now rest upon corals in sand
Moments now pass and stars twinkle a path
Gazing above they release jovial sighs
The gift of the night has given them flight
Far and beyond soaring through indigo skies
Fleeing past clouds and sparkling stars
The moon as their guide into land of forevermore
These once wingless souls now united they soar
Daniella

Dani, I must say that your poet's pallet has come mighty close to the beauty of your heart and soul in this piece.  One for my library and definitely one to print and hang on my bulletin board.  Exceptionally beautiful write from you and yes my favorite of yours to date.
