Before

Before I ever met you, I had dreamt you
You are the wish I dared not utter aloud
That's why I knew that you were so true
You were the whispered sigh on my lips
I knew that I belonged utterly to you

Before we had spoken, or I felt your touch
I knew that you would caress my sore heart
That's the reason I need your love so much
You were the song that I longed so to hear
The love, the soul to whose mine will touch

Before I gazed into your beautiful soft eyes
I knew that I'd find this perfect loves' truth
That love and passion can produce this sigh
Your touch is the magic, that I've waited for
The sign that my dream was before my eyes

Before our whispers had caressed our ears
I believed my heart would hope on in vain
My soul believed it could only gather tears
But still I hungered for my dream, my love
All this before we met, before love appears

Mushy or not it is still a dream worth dreaming.  Lovely thoughts and well penned my president.

Sven, how kind you are, I thank you I really do. I quite simply wrote what was in my heart. So the thanks go to my man whom is the inspiration behind all I write and do.

Marsha, I implore you, get rid of the "mushy" and go straight to magnificent and/or majestic...because you are not now, nor ever have been "mushy"...

you have a muse building, my dear...and she is coming from whatever is the true inside of you...

and she is showing, proudly...

Kari, Thank you love, truly, as for the mushy, I think it's sort of sweet. It's because I'm soft in the head and the heart. Certainly my muse is stiring me, he inspires me constantly. Which is where this poem came from. I do appreciate you I really do, and thanks for your kind words and beautiful poetry.
Take care

Marsha,

This was wonderful writing.

LW thank you kindly, one of my softer pieces, I'm glad you like it.

Circe, Hi love, thank you for the vote of confidence, I do appreciate it, you know I do. This is one of my softer dreamy ones, sort of drifting off to sleep. (Probably make a suitable alternative to hot milk for the lactose intolerant)   Glad you like this one love, I really am. Still if you're not just drifting off to sleep, Touch Me In The Morning, should make you feel awake again.
