What's so great about war
I never understood this before
Young men die
and women cry
a destruction of all that's gone before

What's so cool about death
a taking of a loved one's breath
but nations fight,
to show their might
bringing about change, will bring new depth

What's so good you must go
and leaving me behind, grieving so
how can I pray
you'll come back to stay
knowing you leave others on the field of woe.

Why do yesterdays remain and todays pass by ...unnoticed?

Amen to this!  You have stated the truth, and touched my heart.

To love another person is to see the face of God.

I certainly was touched by your message.  And I really like your form.  I don't think I've ever seen limerickish stanzas before.  Luvdit!
