"The Sky Reminds"

As silence spreads
its wave before me
and clouds disguised as
fog surround my feet

I've walked this path
with heaviest heart
now eyes will close and
weary, I'll retreat

And as I turn with
hopeful glance,
a promise melts
from out a foolish leap

What lies toward
the swirled horizon
a blur, the sky reminds
me not to weep

Truly very well done   I like the promise implied here

No one truly knows what lies ahead, and if it is a leap of faith you take, so be it. It's always wiser to move ahead instead of retracing footprints of the past.

Kethry, Peppermint, Ron, thank you all for reading. I know this piece isn't an easy one to understand. I'm sometimes far too obscure to be trying to call what I write "poetry," I'm afraid. Thanks very much for reading, though, and leaving such nice replies.

With hopeful glance
in the breast of day,
distortion
in waves of heat
often leaves memories
not truely gone.

Take to the glance
and hold to steady sight
the solidity of promise
in the light of the moon
and in the calm comfort
of the night,
but dwell not on the darkness
instead in the shimmerings
of the tears of sorrow
and misgivings
and then reach
into the depths of heart
and follow the path
to healing and to vision
of tomorrow's possibilities.

==================

In time all things will be seen in the light
in which they are presented instead of in their representation.  Lovely write once again my friend.

"the sky reminds me
not to weep"
but to smile, and to know
that I will see the sunrise again
and that my heart will
feel its rays once more. . .

wonderful my friend. . .
