I would like to recite a poem of great social and political import, and it goes something like this...

Oh Lord, won't you send me, a new candidate,
G.W.'s a loser, Al Gore ain't so great,
I voted in Palm Beach, I'm no reprobate,
So Lord, won't you send me, a new candidate.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me, a ballot or three,
Patrick Buchanan, is trying to find me,
I'll wait down in Florida, by Nader's green palm tree,
So, oh Lord, won't you buy me, a ballot or three...

Oh Lord, won't you buy me, a new Senate seat,
Hillary's a winner, and Bill think's that neat,
'Cause there's a young page, that he'd like to meet,
Oh Lord, won't you buy me, a new Senate seat...

Everybody!!!

Oh Lord, won't you send me, a new candidate,
G.W.'s a loser, Al Gore ain't so great,
I voted in Palm Beach, I'm no reprobate,
So Lord, won't you send me, a new candidate...

That's it... hehehe

Ok now I see someone from Florida I can request please lets get this over with.
I'd sell you a vote or maybe two but can you promise you'd know what to do.

I hear Big Brother and the Polling Company is touring again, too. (smile)

This is classic poly~rock. Good stuff

To be honest I feel like we got short changed on the candidates...I felt like singing the song "Is that all their is".
Time will tell if Bush or Gore rises to the occasion...James

ROFL in a big way! This was great, I am humming it right now. You said it, Mike, what a classic this is. Yeah, send it to Jay Leno. Send it to everyone. It should be a big hit with all except the (aforementioned) politicians.

They let a second grade class vote using Florida's butterfly ballot...  the children were told to vote for Gore...    the final tally was unanimous for Gore except for one Bush vote when a boy said his father wouldn't let him vote for Gore...  the kids all said... they could see how a grown-up might be confused, but suggested they take the time to read the directions and look at the arrows...
gotta love politics...
glad you all enjoyed my little ditty...
