Contract of Heart

There is a contract etched on my heart's wall
With outlines of gold surrounding words all
Silver phrase strokes caress with purity of rose
Azure eyes of crystal read as love quietly shows

Waltz of teared release glide on heaven's floor
Joyous reunion of heart and soul forever soar
Treasures of gold radiate in the smiles of friends
Sighs of captured love glisten as Luna descends

Restful slumber across pillowed touch of cloud
Arms entwined in free escape of sorrow's crowd
Spoon of passion stealing kiss in drops of dew
Finding our love as warmth of sun comes anew

Rays of golden promise tickle below grains of sand
Mists of ocean spray saturate palms of lover's hand
Eyes of surrender reaching depths of two lonely souls
Inscribing permantly the contract of our love's goals

Mark Christopher

MarkB~
Another piece of beauty from the heart of the devine poet.

It's such a pleasure, always, to read the beauty from your pen.
You've got a way of capturing each of us in your thoughts.

This piece is so typical of the quality of your writing, Mark.
A breath of originality is always breathed through your poetry.

Thank you for not only being who you are ...
but for sharing who you are.
Love you~

Mark my friend, I simply had to stop by to take this to bed with me. I need something wonderful tonight, I've had one of those days, well actually it was one of those evenings, but still. So I need to take this with me, because then the beauty can caress my soul. I suppose I could say that this poem was a type of soul fuel, and I've just re fuelled. So many thanks for filling me up.

Take care
