Listening to every heart

Tribute to Clair de Lune

Softly, tenderly, swaying in the midnight’s soft breezes,
comes to me the haunting melody and gently eases
my soul into a symphony of flowing rhapsody
as the moonlight’s sonata sings only to me.

Embracing me, holding me tenderly, stroking every sense
I lie without moving, the haunting melody grows intense
and enters every fibre of my very being
giving me a foresight which will go from you unseeing.

Refrains are hungry for understanding the note’s touch,
nay, I do not miss you so very much
when music’s enrapture traps my very core,
but with the passing of the melody, I will then miss you even more.

Kari, Oh my, this is so beautiful, so breathtakingly wonderful. Thank you thank you thank you very very much. This one of my favourite pieces of music. One of the few presents my daddy gave me before he died, was a music box. Which played Clair de lune, and I loved it. But he died when I was 5 and although I managed to hang on to it until I was 20 it got broken and I've missed it ever since. Now when I hear it I remember, although very mistily, but still remember him. Beautiful poem love thank you truly wonderful present.
Take care love

~~~ Sunshine ~~~
Oh...what a beautiful piece of work this is to go with my very favorite musical work! This is one piece that I love dearly, both your poetry and Clair de Lune. They are both filled with such beauty and feeling. I am once again in awe of your talent, my friend!!
Follow your dream!
I can hear it now Sunshine. . . Van Cliburn. . . or perhaps. . . Rubenstein. . . or. . . ah yes, the master himself. . . Debussy. . .
This is delicate, just like the music that inspired it. . .
I'm glad you reposted it - Tis one of my most fav classical pieces too -even though I can play only the 1st page and 1/2 well
Now I think I'll try and write a tribute poem to another fav - something by Rachmaninoff ~G~
