State of constant confusion!

0 posted 2000-11-09 08:43 PM

Hi, Self, It's me, your concience. I've got a few things I need to say so shut up and listen.

I know how hard it is for you to sit there and think of the mistakes you've made. Sometimes you want to cry for no reason at all. Well, that's me, crying out, trying to be heard. Trying to make you understand that I am here to listen to you. Believe me, I know what you are going through and I know how difficult it is to sit there alone. I tried to warn you before you made the choice that made you feel so guilty, but you chose to ignore me. So, now you have to live with the consequences of your actions. So don't sit there and tell me how lonely you are, how you hurt with a broken heart. All this was brought on by yourself. Yes I know you're lonely and hurt and disappointed, but I also know that you are going to survive all this one way or the other. We, together, can work through all this. We can find a way to make it. Me and you. Just me and you. Yes, me.......and you

Got the inner search going the right way... you might feel bad but why blame yourself? I like the emphasis at the end I hope the recipient gets the point......ethome

I had to read this  as I use to write letters to myself before I discovered poetry...thank you for this...it reminds me so much of the events in my life.

Jeff,

I hear every word here loud and clear.  You know that I support any decisions you make, but, should you ned to talk...you know how to find me.

Hugs to you my friend,
Marina

Jeffrey,

Wow, this was good my friend.  You know what I think already so I will just say this . . . be true to yourself.  That is what is most important.  It will all work out in the end.

Jennifer

I often write/talk to myself too. It gives me  a better outlook on things. Always remember you make your own decisions and only you can change them. Good Luck

Hi Jeffrey. Your self talk is wonderfully positive and real. It is often so incredibly hard to live with our decisions, past or present, whether they were "mistakes" or not. So often hard to tell what is the right thing to do for ourselves, until later when we can look back with a more accurate assessment. Thanks for sharing your "conversation."

Being honest with yourself is the first step in healing...being honest with those you have hurt is the next...knowing there are some things you can never change doesnt always feel good...but if you face up to it you can move on.

It took a lot of courage to write this.
Good for you Jeffrey!
