Beneath the blanket of winter
lie wonders to behold.
Waiting for an awakening,
Is the sleeping warmth of beauty.
As the sun moves closer to kiss the horizon,
Days grow gloriously longer.
Curiously the crocus peek ,
from the below the melting layers.
Eyes wide with each new discovery,
We greet them joyously ,
Brushing back the snows to give them room.
They reply with a smile,
And bloom.
We step back in awe,
On the edge of spring.

Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox

Ron,
A beautiful write, I enjoyed the beauty you portray.

"We step back in awe,
On the edge of spring".

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

We have had only 2 days of winter so far in South Texas, and I'm ready for SPRING to pop up. Thank you for reminding me it's around the corner.

You give me hope on this grey and blustery day. I am definitely NOT a winter person at all.

I have to admit that this time of year is my favorite but the beauty of spring is well received as well and you make it sound more than just inviting. Wonderfully penned my friend.
