"The Final Goodbye" 2/12/99 **To Matt* The tears run down my face, as I close my eyes and sigh I sit here with my heartache, wondering why Then a thought of you pops into my mind, and it all comes rushing back to me The memories, of when you betrayed me, it shattered my heart…can’t you see? You took the most precious thing I had to offer and you threw it away Laughed at me, as if love was some game to play Pulling my life back together, has been a uphill fight Some days I felt like giving up, wanting to just let go in the dark of the night Now you say you love me and ask me to love you once again However I can't...you betrayed my trust, no longer my friend The tears run down my face, as I close my eyes and sigh I now know that I am strong enough, to tell you one last final goodbye. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Continuation... It's been over two years now since you and I said goodbye I wanted to let you know I'm doing good...doing just fine Now I've met someone new I am not telling this to hurt you She is a wonderful person and treats me just right Her love has made me whole, it's been worth the fight I hope that you are well, and that you found someone new too I never wished anything bad against you Some things just aren't meant to be No matter how we try But this time I have only a smile As I tenderly say goodbye |

Amy, this is sooooo good love, really is, you have penned this so well, it's so true. You have such a shining heart, and such a delightful soul, you deserve someone who treats you as such. And I know you have, and now you've shut the door and said goodbye. Brilliant love really great write.
