My blood is fueled to passion's rage
I am awakened unto a quest
to read the verse of page upon page
of a hand, from whom I am blessed.

For somewhere in this world, I believe
is a poet who awakened my soul
and yet I'm lost, so mercilessly
for her words have silence stole

I would fight the nobles hand to hand
for another verse from thee
I would travel sea and wave and land,
for a chance to set you free.

I lay siege for your heart and openly,
as I visit the Abbey at dawn
for the prayer I send will return to free
the chains from this stifling bond.

My heart twas a chamber dismembered
each one had beat it's last
Until you reassembled
through verse, and the spell you cast.

So, I wait, and I weep, for a Lady,
swiftly filling my thoughts and my being
and I flee from the fates that await me,
hoping soon, your essence I feel

Andrew

Andrew!  Welcome to Passions!  This is amazing.  I would normally "reply in kind" to a verse such as this, but unfortunately, I do not have the time.

But I am going to really be looking forward to more of this type of work from you!

Well done!

with haste ye pull sword
thy blood is fueled for naught
retreat thy blade for war
stolid from flesh tears of self

peer not to yonder meadow
for thief of thy goods
turn eyes haste in,
kindsir, seek thy light

saysir? yes, i see thy shine
yet, ye can'st peer to it
know ye not where, 'tis core?

absolutely outstanding.

Look within the heart of a poet, and you will see a reflection of their soul.
