In one spin
Of eternity’s wheel
In a desert
Mixed with sand
Are the countless bodies
Of the revolution

I am thirsty
I could will the sea
Of endless parchment
To turn to paper
I could fill my chance
With encouragement

My markings will be
Swept away
With the next gust
Of wind
My thirst will be
Insignificant
With the next
Painful blink of your eye

I’d like to be your tears
If just to roll down your face
To escape my surroundings
To find a new body
Through your pores I have
Found the way

Did you ever wonder why
You were God’s creation
Because He loves you
Just a reminder
Sandy haired blue eyed girl
You’ll never die

Marry me
Don't turn away

This is how the wind shifts:
Like a human, heavy and heavy,
Who does not care.

Is there another one coming to answer the question....tremendous metaphors in this one Walt I enjoyed it from beginning to end... there's some beautiful and original work here as there always is in your poems...but I have to say they are a pleasure to read....
