Stone upon stone I stack lifeless emotions
This granite expression I now create
Could not be carved more perfectly
By unforgiving hand
Exposing the fractures
Fissures
Faults
Dreams run and weave in marbled pattern
My hand runs uneven along their surface
Lips meet a cooled slab void of pulse
Dead weight
To heavy to move by myself
So chisel I hold
And begin to carve
In hope to bring life to a heart of stone

Wonderful metaphors all the way through Ron ..that's the beauty of writitng, those tools of description are available to create an impression on the readers perspective.

"Dreams run and weave in marbled pattern,
My hand runs uneven along their surface."

Good writing!! I enjoy the humility that most poets display in their work because without humility we can never really realize the talents of our fellow poets. This poem has a very humble ending but a very strong ending...ethome

Tracie...thanks so much...I'm just dipping into the deeper side of me...the dark corners of shadowy emotion...just to create...but it amazingly brings forth all the pains of past...but I guess that's how we need to write...to remember

ethome...you humble me, my friend. your exceptional work is appreciated by meself as is your kind words. thank you

This is how the wind shifts:
