My lady's eyes are black as night
And brimful of the pain
When she sees, the tiny tykes
Full hopeful in the rain

My lady's smile is red as blood
Though she smiles too rare
heartfelt compassion of ragged brood
Fill her life with care

My lady's heart is blue as sky
On a summer's day
She sees the little children cry
And worries o'er their way

My lady's soul is white as snow
Though sorrow fills its cup
As starkness from the world below
Is ever lifted up

I am but a poor maiden,
a servant trained to rise
but all this I would trade in
to see joy within my lady's eyes.

Growth demands a temporary surrender of security.

Ardently expressed wish you have here...I loved the verse quoted above.
