The World Is Ugly Today

Step out the door,
heavy,
into faces,
distorting my view,
the world is ugly today,
and perhaps
remaining cradled
in the bed we once shared
would save my wrath
from reaching
any one or thing undeserving.
Tightly sealed
and partly on my way
down streets
as gray as the pigeons
cloak,
those ones that tangle my steps
when rushing for
deadlines with
little meaning when I
give it an ounce of thought,
knots of new chasing me
when there are barrels
in my life
deserving the energy
I waste on hate,
but these faces, so distasteful
and judging, lacking real,
just attract my anger,
they feed
off of the result
of you,
and I should have just
stayed, sheltered the pain
caused, and digested it
before seeing outside
again,
for the world is ugly today
as I step outside this
door, heavy.

Heavy.

Yep.

That's what I'd say. SMILE, my amazing (that's right) friend.  You're to much for anything less.

Hi flaming poet!
For you

Sing back to them
Display your colours, you gem

You're sparkling
You're tinkling
You’re a diamond ring
Your glistening words will always sing
You sweet poet of flaming days
I give you this rhyme from my crazy ways
With it take hugs and smiley sun rays
Remember the laughs from the good old days

Bad mood, eh?  ROFL...I must share this---a friend e mailed me after seeing the title and thought at first it was written by ME--you may be in trouble there, lady...lol---

So yep. You know I can relate to those gray days...far too many of 'em lately. Me? Just trudging on through the sludge. Hugs, A.

SPITFIRE, a fine write you have shared and I was captivated as I read along each verse by the expression...

Hey Spitzie, or is that Spatzie
Sounds like Gaia needs the Tammy Faye Bakker beauty kit, putty-knife included, for with this un, I can see that this, your, our, his, her world needs a facelift/makeover. Now, how the hell do we get Society on talk-tv for a new wardrobe and facial?
