color of wind

when stars shone black in spite
   and dark wore time's unlight
when spheres tumbled in squares
and moons of edam were fare
when oceans learned to read
   and ooze began to bleed
when greens envied the browns
   and mountains were peakless crowns
when fire flamed earth's hell
   and water boiled its shell
when skies swallowed its rains
and no thing grazed the plains
when man became God's twin
yet dust was still his skin
our love's breath begins
and captures the color of wind

Gosh, THAT long ago?? (smiling) How sweetly sentimental, elemental and spiritual, M.A.

thanks to all above for reading ... this piece is somewhat of a rarity for me ... it came to me nearly in its entirety while driving home from work and i was scribbling the whole way (gotta' get one of those mini tape recorders) ... thanks again.
