~Two Little Hearts~

Two little hearts
Sitting side by side
One says yes
The other says hide
~~~
One little heart
Fly's as free as a bird
While the other little heart
Is hardly heard
~~~
These two hearts
Look exactly the same
But they do not
Play the same game
~~~
One is feisty
And head strong
The other is lonely
As time goes on
~~~
These two little hearts
Used to be one
They are my heart
Who's come undone
~~~
She is broken
Split in two
She no longer knows
Quite what to do
~~~
Two little hearts
Going seperate ways
My one heart
Totally in disarray
~~~
Pulling and tugging
To go on their own
My two little hearts
Want to go it alone
~~~
My one heart
Won't ever be the same
Until my two little hearts
Start playing the same game
~~~
Love is the life of the soul...
It is the harmony of the universe
The perfect song for your two little hearts will come around soon.  You will see.  Until then try to make sure that both of them at least enjoy the sunshine together.  Wonderful verse from you and a very unique way to look at things.
What a great way to express the feeling Tracie. I think this is a wnoderful expression of creative writing...I could really feel the torn up inside mood of the poem and how the heart (the seat of emotion) is insecure because of the memories of a bad experience...loved it!!...ethome
tracie-
   wow...i can certainly relate
   to the feelings you've expressed here.
   it can be a very painful thing when
   your heart has a battle within itself.
   you've penned these emotions perfectly.
Tracie...it's hard to put yourself out there, whether your heart is one or two...but there is a lot of wisdom in your words...
hugs are with you...
With poems that follow this sort of rhythm, it is hard for me to get sad when I read them.  *grins*  And try as I might, I can't seem to read it in a different rhythm.  Ah well.  I like the poem anyways.
