Darkness covers the light
I long to see your face
I long to feel your warmth
Nothing matters now

Days turn into nights
Your not here
I long for your love
But it is gone

Gone like the stir of echoes in my dreams
But was it ever there?
I felt your touch
I know it was real

Why does it go as quickly as it came?
I feel the wind touch my face
The kiss of goodbye

My heart feels nothing now
I am numb

Feel the warmth of the sun on my face
I am happy for the moment

Time heals the soul
How I long for time
I wish I could feel again

I feel the wind touch my face

Very well written poem.  It had the perfect ending.  Every aspect of our life revolves around time. Roger

Oh, wow have I BEEN there... you really know how to pour out that emotion of loss.  What a great poem, here's hoping those wounds will heal quickly.

Some lovely lines in here -

'Why does it go as quickly as it came?
I feel the wind touch my face
The kiss of goodbye'
