A little walk the other day
Shook up the memory bank
Sounds so familiar
Sights of days gone by

Watching from a distance
Staring at the swings in the park
Waiting for a parent and child
To share a few minutes
That will last a lifetime.

Remembering, each swing
Taking in each scream of laughter
Hair over little faces
Higher Daddy, higher!
Aiming high for the sky
Soaring back and forth.

Little pleasures, little children
The sweetness, and the restlesness
Running, flowing, swinging,falling
Time to go now, sweetie, tis' getting dark.
Energy spent and gone on those weary little legs.
Daddy, I'm tired! Can you carry me, please?

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Oh God if I could only return to the days of swings and my little boys were such sweet little angels. I love the children they were, but the adults they are have alot to be desired.
