You gently wrap yourself around each thought
Caressing every corner of my mind
Warm velvet whispers echo love I’d sought
Down through the years yet never dreamed I’d find.
You breathe my name in songs of pure desire
We blend in perfect harmony and rhyme
Each chord reverberates to lift us higher
To drift above constraints of space and time.
We melt, become as one, much more than two
One voice, one heart, one soul, forevermore
We’ll sing this melody ‘till life is through
Together we’ve composed the grandest score.

Warm velvet whispers echo endlessly
Our lovers’ song will play unendingly.

Denise

*This was inspired by a song entitled 'Better On This Side' on my nephew's newly released CD, 'John Condron - My Own Device', and, of course, dedicated to my husband!*

Thank you so much, Marge, Ron, Butterflies, Maree, Janet Marie, Victoria, Karilea, Elizabeth, Balladeer, Daniel, A Whisper's Caress, Kathleen, Wynter, Elizabeth, James, Jenn, James and Kit for reading and for your wonderful replies! I am very fortunate to have the husband that I have! I guess eventually I had to get it right...hehehe...and my nephew's CD is fabulous! I wish you all could hear it! I'm very proud of him! He wrote the lyrics and the music. Also he does the vocals and plays the guitar. He has such a beautiful voice. When he was younger he was in the world renowned Philadelphia All Boys Choir. I'm sure the more I listen to the CD, I'll be inspired to write more poetry! Thanks again, everybody!
