The candle within my heart burns for you
upon the wick is an eternal flame
the reflection dancing in eyes of blue
shines bright at the mention of your name

I do not need a picture in a gold frame
i can see you in the dark of night
i may never be a famous grande dame
but you will always be my shining knight

In the clouds is your image like a kite
reminding me of the love we share
your image in the dawn or sunset bright
the mist of a storm and rainbow hair

The candle within my heart still burns for you
Does the candle within your heart burn too?

This is very romantic and touching, Victoria.

I thought I had a candle burning in my heart one time but it was only heartburn

Oh, how those old flames keep burning...
and burning... and burning... in those little reminders all about us in "eyes of blue" or in the mention of a certain name.  I love how you see your Love in the clouds, the night, and even in mist and rainbow. Supernatural.  Bob <><

Once the flame has been ignited it does tend to burn on.

Looks more like a torch than a candle to me - but it burns most beautifully -  ~S~

It's a wonderful feeling isn't it?
I enjoyed reading this, because I must light 1000's of candles between now and forever!

Some candles of love never burn out.  You have penned a beauty in this one my friend, but that is not news now is it?  Here is to hoping that you find his candle still burning bright as well.
