You want me to let you in
but I'm not sure that I can,
you wish that I could trust you
but first I must know this man.

You say that you want to spoil me
and melt this icey heart of mine,
but I fear the ice is to thick
and I fear what you might find.

You say that you'll be patient
you know that you can break through,
and that someday I will see
that all of these things are true.

I told you the walls were up
you said you could tear them down,
and on my face a smile will come
when you take away my frown.

You have no way of knowing
just what this heart has been through,
you say that it does not matter
I've already fell in love with you.

Your wrong, it really does matter
this ice does not easily melt,
yes, it will only start thawing
when I know true feelings are felt.

You say, it does not matter
it will thaw in  passing of time,
that you'll someday have a home
built into this heart of mine.

You say that you care enough
to wait for me patiently,
the door to my heart will open
when your love I finally see.

I do not know if your right
I do not know if your wrong,
you say it does not matter
it is time for our love song....

On the wings of words our spirits fly, and our souls are free.

I like the way you express these feelings; sometimes words just aren't enough; we need actions too

be careful, but be courageous...

Well written poem, I enjoyed it thoroughly. However, I found your words rather painful. Please do not give up, you need to be very courageous. Cheers
