Please Don't ...

Don't look into my eyes as you will surely see
Residing within are the secret passions of you
Please don't use my eyes to reach the depths of me
Or you will find a love that can only be true

I don't know if I am ready to give of my heart
I don't know how to fight it though as our lips touch
I don't want the moment to come that we will part
I don't know if I can tell you that I love you this much

Please don't release me or my love to the wind
Please hold onto me and the passionate fire inside
You will find a heart for you always ready to defend
You will find where your truest love will forever reside

I know that my eyes will not be able to tell a lie
I know that I don't want to lose your arms around me
So please do not look unless you are willing to try
Don't call me to dance unless you will let our love be

Mark, the word "inspired" by definition, takes on several nuances in its interpretation, one of which is "to infuse by breathing." In reading your lovely poem, I feel that yours is a creativity borne of such breathing. You have absorbed, infused, words and ideas and in turn, and in your own remarkable way, given their essence a whole new breath of life. This is, indeed, a charming poem, and I am honored to have had a little something to do with its "inspired" inception. Thank you for letting me know about this.

Juls-Thank you much.  Yes, they usually do.  So glad you liked it.

Marsha-Why thank you so much my president.  I am still not completely settled and my computer time is limited but please let the MBOOPAS's know that their poem will be coming soon.

Karilea-Thank you so much my friend and as for the dance card ... not really anyone on it(yet) to tell you the truth.  I found this inspiration in the words of another poet's words.  I am glad you enjoyed it.

Kethry=I am glad that all is FINE   and I do thank you much and I missed you too my friend.

Holly-Thank you so much my friend and you know that I do try to find inspiration wherever I can and when it comes from another poet's words alone then I feel doubly good as I feel as if I connected to their piece.  That is the case in this one of Rainyday's and thus mine.  I always love to see your name on the screen whether it be on a reply or on a poem you have posted.

Liz-Alluring and romantic huh?   So do you think it will catch anyone maybe? LOL.   Thank you so very much.

Sandra-Awe my friend, I am so glad that you liked it and as for those tears, I do so hope they were happy tears.  Thank you so much for being so in tune with my poetry.  That means so much to me.  Hugs my friend.

Rainydays-I am glad that you enjoyed it and I hope as much as I enjoyed writing it.  When I read your poem, I found myself in a setting of a discussion between two people that were afraid to admit what they were feeling though they both not only felt it but both knew that the other did as well.  After placing myself in the setting, this is what came out.  Have I told you yet?  I love the way your words "inspire" me to try and reach that one chord that will really come across with the beauty of a clear harmonic.  Thank you so much for your sweet reply and double ... no, triple that ... as a matter of fact,... a thousand times for your works and please never ever stop writing.

Pepper-Why thank you so much and as for my eyes and my soul, well I think if you could have seen my eyes at the moment I read Rainyday's poem then you would have found them to be perfectly clear in color and a very REAL look into my soul.

Victoria-As it is when something inspires you and you bring to us one of your lovely poems.  Thank you so much.

Ron-Why thank you my friend and I do appreciate that.  You will find that I am not totally back just yet but will be soon, so for now, you are still da man. LOL

Marsha-You may visit anytime my friend and president, anytime.  I do so appreciate your loyalty to me and my poems and I hope the MBOOPA's like it as well.  I fear that I may never get used to having my own fan club, but believe me, I AM NOT COMPLAINING at all. LOL...Hugs my dear friend to you and to all of the MBOOPA's (a really big one to Daphne)

Martie-Is that an invitation to not give up hope? LOL...Thank you my dear friend and I do so hope it is soon.  Hugs to you as well.

Charisma-Thank you for those wonderful words and of course for another VERY wonderful hug from you.  You always make me smile.

Sunny1-And my eyes would tell of the truely heartfelt thanks and love of a friend that has become a true member of my personal family means the world to me.  Hugs my sweet sister and I am so glad to see you here. You know this.

sp-Why thank you so much for that my friend.  It is always so refreshing (not to mention the other things LOL) to be bumped by one as sweet and lovely as you.

Kathleen-Thank you much my dear IRISH friend.  Yes, that was exactly my response when I read her poem as it took my mind AND me to a setting directly in front of her.

Marge-Hmmmmmm, are you sure we should look?  I think the world knows already anyway, don't you.....   So, how do you think the world would react to the love between a cowboy and an Indian Princess? LOL  Thank you much my sweet friend, you know that I will always LOVE you.

beautiful words Mark, the eyes are the window to the soul and the way to the heart, eyes tell us alot about the mind body and soul, yet sometimes it doesn't say enough words from the heart, this is where the true love is, this was a very loving and heartwarming poem.

Mark my friend, the MBOOPAS will now come to order, can't you keep these wretches in order. No neither can I.
They all want me to say welcome home, and that they have missed you, which is a gross understatement to say the least. There were times this office has been down right depressed. And Daphne insists that she has missed you more than anyone else, I'm going to have to restrain her I think. I'll get the chains out.
These are their comments

Yes, I love this one!               Sue
Terrific, this is now my fav one.   Kelsy
You don't love it more than I do    Daphne
(She's going to be the death of me)
This is so beautiful                Pat
It's breathtakingly lovely          Jan
Wonderful                           David
Superb I love this more than Daphy  Delia
(Don't set her off)
Fantastic this is really great      Mel
I love this one                     Fran

We all agree that this is truly outstanding.
(And now back to work boy and girls)
Take care
