I got the call a year ago,
I knew I'd get it soon,
And if it would have helped at all,
I'd have gone and gotten the moon.
But there was nothing I could do,
Damned cancer was taking another,
You got your wings and left us,
To join Jim and Dad and Mother.
The memories of those yesterdays,
All the laughter that we shared,
How you always walked the edge,
And did more than most ever dared.
I remember the "flying dishrag"
Your patented, crazy dive,
And how when you lost the "evinrude",
You thought Dad would skin you alive.
I think of the family picnics,
All those good times at the lake,
The many nights sitting under the stars,
As you told of the journeys you'd take.
I miss the laughter you brought me,
And I miss those baby blue eyes,
I miss all of the little things,
That brought smiles instead of sad sighs.
And now you're a guardian angel,
Watching over all those I hold dear,
And I thank you for all of those little tugs,
That let me know my brother's still near.

In loving memory of Tommy

Oh Bonnie, this broke my heart. I am so so sorry for your loss. You have painted such a lovely picture of your dear brother here and the memories that you so fondly hold in your heart. Nothing can take those away. This is so warm and loving my sweet friend.
Love & hugs,
Juls

Ah Bonnie, this loss only becomes bearable when you are able to think of all that you have thought of, knowing that there were those good times between you...

he would have loved this...as he does you.
