A happy man, am I
well content with my life
after work I go home to
my docile, happy kids and wife.

Conservative my clothing
no sweats and jeans for me
I am a man who's proud of
well earned prosperity

My private education
helps me to move along
and when I run my business
I do it with pure calm

In my time of leisure
I use the gym and spa
and golfing is my pleasure
more so when I reach the bar

I'm a man of logic
a man in full command
when my lovely yells and screams
I don't understand

Oh my life is good and fine
it's full of wit and fire
the only thing I'm scared of
is the day that I retire.

You're scared! Think of the wife, her peaceful routine will be ruined.

kethry, i had friends like this...thier job was thier life and social status was so important. They neglected thier private lives. In the end they were not very happy when they lost their girls/wives. Priorities just weren't in the right order. that need to succeed overrides it all.

Good one kethry

People are lucky if they reach retirement age..most people i know are getting downsized at fifty..and then have to threaten to sue in order to get a decent severance pay..being replaced by people half their age with half the experience and being paid half as much..very sad..

Victoria,
you're right and it's a sad world when a man invests so much into his workplace and then finds out he is not wanted, and too young to retire.
BTW thanks for replying.

You have painted a picture very familiar to what some poor guys' lives are like, excellent work!!!

Don't think you're kidding me...I've always known that you girls know us better than we know ourselves....like the song says

"You hung around kept my feet on the ground
when I acted as proud as a fool
we were kids now we've grown got kids of our own
got to raise by the old golden rule."
(Valdy)

Good work you hit the nail right on the head.... I loved it!!
