Holding Each Snowflake
~*Marge Tindal*~

When a new quilting of snow
lays glistening across the lawn
I will dance with joy upon it
making footprints of memory
that lead you back to me
And you will follow
and find me waiting
We will frolic
full of merriment
in this season of love
We will tumble through
chilled days - warm nights
drinking in the memories
of sweetly wintered bliss
Holding each snowflake
in sweetest remember
knowing that spring
will bring the melt
that will change
our lives forever
Footprints gone
Hearts apart
anxiously awaiting
a new quilting snow

I love your wintered bliss    I just wrote my first one for winter as a sonnet (yesterday) but I need to make some corrections on it..hopefully will post it later today. This was a treat.

Lovely work as always, Marge. I liked the idea of footprints in the snow leading your love back to you. Are you looking forward to the first snowfall? Anyway, beautiful sentiments here.

so many kinds of snow - each beautiful in its own right - white powder - large wet flakes - melting on your tongue
Crystal beds of white calling to envelop us
and make angels. Wonderful imagery you've givin us Marge

Oh Marge ~ "A new quilting of snow" ~ How beautiful, this just bring wonderful images to mind.  And when we get 18" dumped on us in a few hours this winter, I will look out and say "look at the lovely quilting of snow!"  And of course everyone here will look at me like I'm nuts, but I'll know what I'm talking about, and I'll be sure to let you know when that "quilt" arrives!!!!  Bonnie

So instead of leaving just footprints in the snow, can we lie down and make snow angels together?  Love the thought of the white powder being in control of memories that two can share in a magical season.
