So he gives me the tingles, Makes my whole body shake. And no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to get him off my mind? It’s like he’s under my skin, And I don’t think I want him out. So I feel like singing, Songs that don’t end? So the best thing about him, Is that he makes me smile? So I just can’t think of words to describe him, Except that he’s wonderful? That doesn’t mean it’s love. |

I am mining the forums today for poems that had reletively few replys. Yours was the first golden nugget I found. This poem speaks one of the hard, unromanic truths of life. We as poets hate the notion, but this cold truth and our propensity to ignore it is the chief culprit guilty of seeding our country with divorce and problem children. Perhaps not a romantic write, but a very important one. |
